Checking In and Checking Out

I have had a hella bad month and can't wait for next month to start.  I am putting all my hope into the thought that Leap Day is lucky and you get to make a wish if the Leap Day leprechaun poops on your doorstep.  I don't care if it's a figment of my twisted imagination, if I find shit on my porch I am totally making a wish as I light it on an arch enemies doorstep!

I went to my first Con over the weekend and had more fun than I expected to.  The event was Mysticon and it was held in Roanoke, VA.  I was able to meet Sherrilyn Kenyon, who is fan-freaking-tastic, and I also had the pleasure of meeting a variety of other authors whose works I hope are half as delightful as they are.  Most notably, Faith Hunter-who is funnier than a mad hatter, and Kemmy Jackson who was just cooler than any cucumber could ever wish to be.  They both were on multiple panels throughout the convention giving advice and answering questions about anything that crossed the weird little brains of their fans and fellow convention goers.  I have the first books ordered from Faith Hunter, but should have grabbed a book from Mr. Jackson as I haven't found any of his work at my local library.

So to get to the point of this post.  I have gotten nothing of worth done on my writing in over two months and I plan to remedy that ASAP.  I need to convert the first 3 chapters of my novel from first person into third and then do edits from there.  I also need to try and spare a passing glance, at the very least, to my Persuasion coursework...*sigh*.  Already my little ADD raddled brain is going off on various tangents and I have forgotten the reason for the post.  So I guess I am checking in, just to check out.  I hope to be back soon and if the Zombie Apocalypse occurs before my next post, please don't forget to double tap.
